Elegant Orange "Go Vols" Tablescape

Today's tablescape is dedicated to my dear friend, David Keith and the story below. I hope you will take the time to learn more about a project that is near and dear to this Tennessee boy's heart. For those of you not from Tennessee and familiar with SEC football - the University of Tennessee is known as the Big Orange and the "T" is a highly recognized symbol of the university located in Knoxville. Go Vols! Cheers Coach Lane Kiffin and all the great athletes who pass through the UT system. "There's nothing like it. Running through the T at Neyland Stadium to thousands cheering with the Pride of the Southland Band blasting the UT fight song. It's awesome." John Murphy (Vol Tight End and my brother.)

Those are two really incredible Table Scapes. I love that they are on the dark side and then the flowers are so vibrant against the dark background. I stand amazed at some of the tables I see on Thursday...

Beautiful tablescape, but I'll have to admit that I'm more into Razorback red than any shade of orange. LOL!!

I don't want to chose between the two, they're both breaktaking!

I don't think the food can compete with the table setting. It would seem a shame to put something onto it. Stunning as usual.

Now you've gone and done it! Ole Miss will certainly bve demanding equal time. Seriously, I wish I had pictures of our tailgating in the grove--quite unlike most "normal" tailgating. As much as I hate to admit it, it's GORGEOUS!! But no Rocky Top???

Gorgeous table Libby, I always love to see what you do or show!
And Bless You for the great post on David Keith, say Hi and Bless you to Mr. Keith for me for his great work in this cause!! I have always enjoyed his acting work. In fact I just watched an Officer and an Gentleman the other day because I had not see it in so long. Much of it filmed in our state!
Bless him for such important work, I have their button on my blog now and have joined up.
As a survivor of childhood abuse I can't even begin to tell you how important a cause it is to me!! I speak out about it and have helped to change laws in our state every chance I get. We never have totally "Gotten It" in this country as to what we have to do to protect our children once and for all!
And on this last day of April, National Child Abuse Prevention Month, very appropriate!
Thanks, Hugs for that,
Linda Q

This post almost made me cry, Libby..It may be in honor of David, but it's also a tribute to the memory of your brother.

There's nobody who loves the Vols anymore than I do.. I've followed them for years and years ---and my three sons are all still huge fans!!!! Hopefully, Lane Kiffin can bring some new enthusiasm and some WINS!!!! I loved Fulmer--but it truly was time for a change.

Hugs,
Betsy

Dear Ms Libby, You are quite extraordinary! I adore the orange setting! We will be moving in less than two months now. Would you consider coming to live with me and decorate my tables forever? The children won't drive you too crazy! :) Blessings to you my friend.
