Paper Plates Like Nobody's Business

There are so many fabulous paper plates to choose from and I like to use them with chargers, glasses, linens and silverware for informal parties. Why not? These are anything but the flimsy plain white paper plates of yesteryear!

oh I wish I had these here, there are zilch quality or quantity in Brasil - we use these old melmac (spelling) from the 70s with yellow and orange flowers on them OUCH!for churrascos. But is just too expensive to replace them. We bought supermarket plates a few months ago to accomidate our growing family and they were R$9.00 each can you imagine trying to buy china -

Precious plates! My mom always uses "fancy paper plates" for Thanksgiving and Christmas meals on gold or silver chargers. Gives her more time to spend with us instead of loading the dishwasher, and her tablescapes always look just as pretty as if she had bought a new set of china.

Thanks for the comment Libby, my little Redman who is now 11 just loves Tractors, time he was 3 he could look at an antique tractor and tell you the real name and year. His GF on his Mother's side restores old tractors as a hobby. Needless to say he has laid claim to all of the farm plates...lol...his favorite tracors are the "Popping Johns"

Libby, the little purple flowers are called Muscari also known as Grape Hyacinth. They are little bulbs that multiply like crazy. Fragrant too.

When I go to buy paper plates and all the accessories I go nuts with the selection that they have. They are all so gorgeous. Gone are the days of the plane old chinet white plates.

It's great to find another paper plate lover - and such a classy one, to boot!

I can not resist buying gorgeous paper plates and napkins and I use them for everything - from sprucing up my kid's school lunches, to tea with friends, to casual dinners - and I even secretly (although not so much..since I did blog about it!) use them in china cabinets and up on plate racks. With 7 sons, all my dishes are somewhat 'disposable' :)

Love your blog.
