The "Derby Party", an annual black tie derby eve gala was held at the Louisville home of Patricia Barnstable-Brown. Brown, hosts the celebrity-packed party with her twin sister, Priscilla and it's been named one of the top ten parties in the world. Later in the evening, Paris Hilton will play host to the official Barnstable-Brown after-party at The Sports and Social Club, located in Louisville's Fourth Street. A few of this years guests are Kid Rock, Michael McDonald, ZZ Top, Michael Jordan, Paris Hilton, Eli Manning, Bobby Flay, Brooks and Dunn, Lori Morgan, Woody Harrelson and Gretchan Wilson. Sounds like a fun party! And the pie, oh my, looks delicious!
Happy Derby Day! Great Post!
Yummy, yummy pie recipe! I have all the ingredients for Mint Juleps this afternoon. I ALWAYS watch the Derby, I always pick a horse and jockey/trainer (it's just not the horse that wins the race) and I even put on an outrageous hat I've had for years when the race begins. Last year I was in Lexington KY at Keeneland the week prior to the Derby and had a blast!!!!
This was so much fun! I've always wanted a great recipe for Derby Pie--thank you, Libby!
Hugs,
G
