Real Makeup for Real Women - Dan Read Cosmetics

A Modern Day "Max Factor"

Several years ago, I met a Hollywood makeup artist who had developed a line of cosmetics. Now remember one of the things I do when I'm in New York is head for the cosmetics floor at Bergdorf and other stores. I love learning about all the new products and always look for a makeup that can endure the heat and humidity of summer in the South.

Well I found it with Dan Read Cosmetics. It's a high pigment product which means you use much less and it covers any flaws or color blotches.

Dan is referred to as “the modern day Max Factor”, and for good reason. His “Silver Screen Series” is innovative and preferred by many of Hollywood ’s brightest stars. DRC’s new line is not only HDTV-ready; it is also an Organic product line that is one of the first to use an organic preservative. The product line is paraben-free. No animal testing. Dan says he’s the only animal this makeup is tested on!

He has a website or you can call 1-877-Dan-Read and they will co-ordinate your colors over the phone and ship it to you. Sounds impossible, but it works. I had lost touch with Dan and was thrilled to re-connect through a mutual friend and surprised to learn that he's headquarted near Nashville Tennessee. Go ahead, get ready for summer and check it out!

Wow, that is exactly what I need. Coverage and something that will hold up in the Texas heat and humidity. This is the first time I have heard of this brand, but will go check it out right now.

Thanks for sharing!

How funny Libby, I was just thinking that I was going to have to find some new makeup. I'm just not happy with what I use right now. Even though I don't wear it to work daily, I want something for my fun time, and it has to hold up to our Texas heat. I'll check this out. Thanks! Kathy

Thanks for the link Libby - I'm always looking for high performance make-up, especially now that I'm living in a more humid climate.
