Meet My Friend, THE ANGELIST, Ted Brooks and Get His New Book, THE ANGEL DISCLOSURES

Brooks is a sage, psychologist, consultant, author, and angelist. He is blessed with the ability to communicate with the angels around us and has written a book based on messages Michael, Zadkiel, Hope, Mary, Amethyst, Jophiel, Gabriel and others have given to him. Ted is on a first name basis with these beloved good angels and he talks with them daily just as you might your best friend. He believes that we all have guardian angels, in addition, to the archangels and their hierarchical myriads who are always listening for our call.

The Bible refers to angels as “ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation” (Hebrews 1:14). It tells us that angels are spiritual beings – that is, they don’t have physical bodies like we do. Reverend Billy Graham explained that at times the angels are able to appear to us in physical form because they are God’s servants and He enables them to do this. Even though the Bible indicates that most of the time angels are invisible and we are unaware of their presence, God does safeguard us in His holy angels, His loving envoys on this earth.

The Angel Disclosures $22.89 tax included plus $4.95 shipping up to 4 books ... For orders or media request AngelDisclosures@aol.com. Kindly make checks payable to The Angel Disclosures.

Real Makeup for Real Women - Dan Read Cosmetics

A Modern Day "Max Factor"

Several years ago, I met a Hollywood makeup artist who had developed a line of cosmetics. Now remember one of the things I do when I'm in New York is head for the cosmetics floor at Bergdorf and other stores. I love learning about all the new products and always look for a makeup that can endure the heat and humidity of summer in the South.

Well I found it with Dan Read Cosmetics. It's a high pigment product which means you use much less and it covers any flaws or color blotches.

Dan is referred to as “the modern day Max Factor”, and for good reason. His “Silver Screen Series” is innovative and preferred by many of Hollywood ’s brightest stars. DRC’s new line is not only HDTV-ready; it is also an Organic product line that is one of the first to use an organic preservative. The product line is paraben-free. No animal testing. Dan says he’s the only animal this makeup is tested on!

He has a website or you can call 1-877-Dan-Read and they will co-ordinate your colors over the phone and ship it to you. Sounds impossible, but it works. I had lost touch with Dan and was thrilled to re-connect through a mutual friend and surprised to learn that he's headquarted near Nashville Tennessee. Go ahead, get ready for summer and check it out!

Visit him on Facebook and check out the before and after photos. Real makeup for real women and men too! Gotta look good for the Derby, graduation, Mother's Day, birthday parties, cocktail parties, galas, quiet nights at home with a special someone. Natural and glamourous looks can be yours.

Dixie Carter - Grand Dame of the South has Slipped off to Heaven. . . God Bless Dixie

Dixie Carter slipped off to heaven this morning. She was a great actor, writer, singer, and Sistah of the South who made us all proud. She titled her book, "Just Trying to Get to Heaven," and I know she's there now. Dixie Carter was a woman of great faith. God Bless Dixie.

Dixie was raised in a small, sleepy, Southern town about 30 miles from me. She always took a piece of that town, McLemoresville Tennessee, with her wherever she went. From the set of Designing Women to the Carlyle in New York where she preformed her cabaret show, she was always gracious, charming, and endearing. Her beauty reached down to her soul. She was a movie star, a great actress, a sensational singer, and a real Tennessee treasure.

Always gracious, fun loving, and so appreciative of the small things that others would do for her, Dixie never forgot to say thank you and she was always willing to lend a helping hand. Many don't know that she was a caregiver in the true sense of the word, taking care of her aging family and even moved her daddy and later her aunt to LA so that she could make sure they were taken care of - they lived with her!

Dixie Carter loved Hal Holbrook and I know is watching down from heaven tonight making sure that he is being taken care of. Please say a little prayer for Hal and for Dixie's children. Dixie Carter, we're all better off for having known you. God bless Dixie.

Martha Stewart Visits Tennessee for the Christening of her Godson –Martha and Minnie Knew Best

Minnie Pearl once told me “You’ve never been in love until you’ve been in love with a guitar picker.” Well just a few years ago a girl from New York found out what Miss Minnie was talking about when she met a musician in town to appear on her boss’s television show.

That girl is Liesl, a friend of mine who was the administrative assistant to Martha Stewart, living an exciting life in one of the greatest cities on earth. Kevin Haynie is a good looking guitar picker from Nashville. Need I say more? Goodbye city life; a gorgeous green wedding on a Tennessee hillside which will be featured in my book; Liesl now manages multi platinum country music artist Clay Walker; Kevin Haynie is a country music artist; things are good.

On March 28, 2010, a beautiful Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Liesl and Kevin’s first born, Luke Menning Haynie, was baptized in Nashville, Tennessee. Godmother Martha Stewart, Godfather Aubrey Haynie (an award winning fiddle player and blue grass musician), as well as, special guests Clay Walker and Jessica Andrews attended this milestone with the Haynie family. Kevin and Liesl planned a spectacular day to remember forever.

Liesl handpicked 300 daffodils that adorned the dinner table at the famous Loveless Café where guests enjoyed a traditional Southern lunch following the christening. She also crafted gift baskets for everyone which included homemade jam, petite fours, custom hand-painted cookies, hand-blown glittered Easter eggs from Martha's chickens, and organic heirloom flower seeds.

Seems as though Liesl has fallen into a storybook life, but she obviously hasn’t forgotten any of the entertaining tips she learned while working with the Master. Little does Luke know what he has in store for him with his mom and godmother there to plan his birthday parties and the likes as he grows up – wonder what cute name he will give Martha Stewart? What a special little boy who seemed to enjoy his special day and all the people who came to celebrate because they love him. Congratulations Liesl, Kevin, and Luke!
Visit Martha Stewart’s blog for more about her and her recent visit to Tennessee. These photograhs are from Martha's blog.

Tennessee Julep Tea - A Little Taste of the South, Cheers Y'all

Tennessee Julep Tea

Brew your favorite tea. I prefer Luzianne’s as it’s less tannic. Prepare simple syrup which you make with equal parts sugar or Splenda and water. Stir well and bring to a boil; add about 8-12 spearmint leaves per cup; stir and muddle (mash leaves with a wooden spoon.) Let the spearmint steep. Allow tea to cool so as not to melt all the ice. Pour tea and simple syrup (to taste) over lots of crushed ice in a julep cup or a metal glass if possible – relax it’s good sipped from a glass or a plastic cup. Add Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey to taste and mix well. Garnish with a mint sprig. This refreshing cocktail is soothing. Cheers y’all!
