This is a great side to serve with just about anything. It goes great with chicken, pork, fish, or beef. It's one of those comfort foods that cause people to hush and savour the moment when they taste it. May not be real fancy, but it's real easy, and really, really, really delicious. Enjoy!
1 (5-ounce) package saffron rice, cooked as directed
1 stick butter, melted1 cup yellow onion, chopped and sautéed
1 (12-ounce) can white corn, drained
1/3 cup green bell pepper, chopped and sautéed
1 can cream white corn
1/2 cup Cheez Whiz®
1 can cream of celery soup
1 teaspoon chicken bullion
1-1/2 cups American white cheese, shredded
Dash cayenne pepper and brown sugar
Salt and pepper to taste
Prepare rice as directed. Add corn, butter, onion, bullion, pepper, Cheez Whiz, spices, and soup (no water). Mix well. Pour into casserole dish. Top with cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes,
