This has been a favorite in my family for years. We loved it as children, when we were away in school, and still love them. We’ll be making several batches to take to a bonfire cook-out and Halloween hayride. They travel easy and are always gobbled up and everyone is always wishing for more. One prominent Senator loved them so much, he had his AA call from DC to get the recipe.
4 – 4-1/2 cups Special K® cereal
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 cup sugar
1 cup white corn syrup
1-1/2 cups peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
Place sugar and syrup in saucepan and bring to a boil. Place cereal bowl and make a hole in the center; place peanut butter in hole made in the cereal. Add vanilla to peanut butter; pour hot sugar mixture over the cereal and peanut butter. Mix with wooden spoon; drop by spoonfuls onto sheet pan covered with wax paper. Allow to set overnight so that they will get firm. Store in airtight container. (Sometimes I add the peanut butter to the sugar mixture, but I think the texture is better this way, just a little more stirring.)

So help me, I'm making these. Thanks for sharing another mouth watering goodie!
These are dreamy! My grandma made a similar recipe but pressed them in a pan and topped them with melted chocolate chips. Thanks for sharing them at Printabelle!
Libby,
These look amazing! I love anything with PB in it. Thanks so much for linking up to Creative Thursday. Can’t wait to see what you share this week! Have a wonderful week.
