Tennessee Bacon Candy is PEERLESS, Enough Said!

Tennessee Bacon Candy
1 pound Benton’s bacon
3 tablespoons Jack Daniel’s Whiskey
2/3 cup packed dark brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line a rimmed baking sheet with foil. Place a wire rack on top of the foil. Arrange the strips of bacon close together in a single layer on top of the rack. Brush the bacon with the bourbon. Sprinkle the pepper and brown sugar evenly over the bacon.
Place the bacon in the oven. Bake until crisp and dark golden brown, approximately 30 – 40 minutes.
When crisp, remove from oven and transfer the bacon to a paper towel lined plate to cool slightly. Break each strip into several pieces and serve with cheeses or leave in strips and enjoy. Serve warm or at room temperature. Perfect for cocktails, with soup and with salads. WARNING: it's addicting!
