Chocolate Strawberries Romanoff
A simple masterpiece with layers of taste, this is the perfect dessert for a holiday dinner party that will razzle-dazzle your guests. They’re gonna want to kiss the cook after this!2 pints fresh strawberries
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 tablespoons clear chocolate liqueur
1 tablespoon cognac
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup sour cream
Wash, hull, drain, dry, slice or cut strawberries to your liking. Sprinkle sugar over berries in mixing bowl. Pour in liqueur; mix gently; cover and refrigerate 2 hours, until thoroughly chilled. Whip the cream, add the cognac and fold into the sour cream. Place the berries in the bottom of champagne flutes and top with the cream (piping it into the flute makes a prettier presentation.) Dust with brown sugar on top for garnish if you like. Also add white chocolate shavings for extra deliciousness.
