1-1/2 cups buttermilk
1 teaspoon soda
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup pecans, toasted and chopped (optional)
1/4 teaspoon salt
Melt Milky Way bars and butter together over low heat in
a saucepan or double boiler. Cream the sugar and Crisco. Combine the remainder
of ingredients and mix well. Then add melted candy and butter; and the Crisco
and sugar. Mix well. Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan and bake in a preheated 350 degree oven for 1 hour
or until cake is done in the center, but do not brown edges or overcook!
