Pinwheels that are sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy, cheesy, and creamy - oh boy are they ever good!
1/2 cup cream cheese, softenedDash of cayenne, or to taste
1/2 cup orange marmalade (gooseberry, fig, plum, pear preserves or your favorite)
4 ounces thinly sliced TN Country Ham or prosciutto
1-1/2 cups fresh grated Parmesan
Cook the slices of country ham and drain on a paper towel. If you can’t find the packages of thinly sliced, use the prosciutto. Roll out sheet of puff pastry onto a cookie sheet (lined with foil for easy clean up and sprayed with non-stick). Melt the cream cheese in the microwave for 10-15 seconds; add cayenne and mix well; spread on the puff pastry. Layer the ham, marmalade, and cheese. Roll it up and cut into 1 inch slices Lay them out on the pan and bake for 20 minutes or until pastry is puffy and golden in a preheated 425 degree oven.
