This old fashioned favorite is as sweetly Southern as
anything you ever put on a fork. It’s gooey, melt in your mouth deliciousness
that has been a staple in the pantry for generations. If you’ve never tried it

Old-Fashioned Chess Pie
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon, plus 1 teaspoon cornmeal
1/2 cup melted butter
1 tablespoon vinegar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs, beaten
9-inch pie crust
Combine first five ingredients. Stir in eggs, mix
thoroughly. Pour into pastry shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 50 to 55 minutes.
