Carl Perkins, the King of Rockabilly, was idolized by many including The Beatles, Garth Brooks, Dolly Parton, Elvis , The Stray Cats, Elvis Costello, Wynonna Judd, Michael Jackson, and the list goes on and on. He was a legend and the kindness he showed those who were less fortunate gave him greater joy than the multitude of awards he received in life.
