Oh that sounds so good...we always had pimento cheese and tuna fish sandwiches when we were small. Pimento cheese was my favorite and of course potato chips and a coke.

Yum, can't wait to try this one! I may live in the South, but Florida doesn't have any comfort food, unless you like gator. Thanks for sharing, I'm getting some great Southern ideas for food.

I made pimento cheese last time we were at the lake. We absolutely love it.

I was rummaging through the pantry, this morning,looking for something and found a forgotten jar of pimentos...I think I'll make pimento cheese for tomorrow. So good!!

Thank you for visiting my new blog. I loved this newest post of yours and know very well that us southern gals MUST have our pimento cheese. I came across a little different pimento cheese recipe from a new cookbook I have bought recently. The name of the book is Magnolias and the author owns a restaurant by the same name in Charlston, NC. I've read that this restaurant is fabulous. This is a recipe I plan to try soon just to see if I like it as well as the one I have made my whole life. I will share the recipe but will probably go back to the one I love just like yours. From one southern gal to another.

Yum Twirlly----It's not nearly time for lunch--but your Southern Pimento Cheese sounds terrific. My mother used to make the best home-made 'menter' cheese in the entire planet... Of course, her daughter didn't ever get her recipe---so I'm going to try yours to see if it's anywhere near as good! It sounds wonderful!!!!! I love CHEESE --anyway I can get it!!! ha

My friend, it's been awhile since we've chatted! I was so happy to have you join in with "Sunday Favorites"...thank you so much!!!

Well...I just love pimento cheese!!! Believe it or not...the folks here in Colorado actually make pimento cheese! Hehe!!! And...coming from Texas, I've always considered Coloradoans as yankees...but these yankees like their pimento cheese! hehe!

I'm so glad that you shared your recipe...I'd love to try it with the white cheddar! Sure would make it pretty with some white sprinkled in! Also...I have never, ever heard of baked pimento cheese...it sounds scrumptious and I'll have to give it a try!

Thanks again for participating in Sunday Favorites...I sure did enjoy your repost, although it was new to me!!! hehe!!!

I am a yankee who lived in the south for 12 years and I LOVE pimento cheese - - - nope, can't get it up here.

Make sure you tell your readers who aren't from the south that when the recipe says "mayo" in MEANS "mayo" and that Miracle Whip isn't the same thing.

After living in the south, I can't STAND Miracle Whip.

We Texans love our pimento cheese!!! It's hard to believe there are people who have never had this southern delicacy;)!!! When I was younger we ate it with fritos...so fancy!!! I usually just buy it but thanks to you I am going to give it a whirl or should I say TWIRL!!!
